Let patients check themselves in and pay at the door.

A tablet in your PT clinic's lobby handles arrival, payment and the next appointment. Your front desk finds out instantly, your calendar updates itself, and the balance is settled before the patient walks out.

Door to door

Two taps at arrival. One at the exit. Nothing in between for your staff.

  1. Check in at the tabletLast name, date of birth, then tap the right visit. Big targets, plain language, and a keyboard built for a lobby.
  2. The card is authorized, not chargedThe estimated amount due for today is held on the card at check-in, no money conversation at the desk.
  3. Your front desk already knowsThe moment they tap, the appointment updates on your calendar and the right staff get a notification.
  4. Check-out settles the differenceIf the final balance came in higher than the hold, the remainder is charged then, on the payment provider's secure page.
  5. The next visit is booked before they leaveThe patient picks their follow-up from your real availability, at the kiosk, without asking anyone.

What it means for your team

The lobby runs itself, and four people feel it.

Check-in is the most repeated task in the clinic. Taking it off your staff changes the shape of the whole day.

Clinician

Patients are already checked in, so the day stops slipping.

  • Visits start on timeArrival is handled at the door, so your 2:40 is a 2:40 instead of a 2:52.
  • The schedule holdsThe day stops sliding with every late check-in, which is what usually pushes documentation into the evening.
  • One less thing to think aboutNo lobby questions, no "is my next patient here yet": the calendar already says so.

Everyone

A tablet in a public room

It can check people in. It can't open a chart.

The kiosk is deliberately the least powerful thing in your clinic. It knows enough to find today's visit and take a payment, and nothing more: no records, no history, nothing left behind on the device when the next patient picks it up.

Patient kiosk FAQ

What does a patient actually do at the kiosk?

Three things on arrival: enter their last name and date of birth, tap their visit from the list, and authorize the amount due. On the way out: settle any remaining balance and book their next appointment. Everything is large-target, plain-language and built for someone standing up with a bag in one hand.

Is the card charged at check-in or at check-out?

Authorized at check-in, settled at check-out. The estimated amount due for the visit is held on the card when the patient arrives; if the final balance comes in higher than the hold, the difference is charged at check-out. Card details are entered on the payment provider's secure page, never stored on the tablet, and the balance clears on the patient's account automatically.

How does my front desk know someone has arrived?

The moment a patient taps in, their appointment updates on your calendar and the right staff get a notification. Nobody has to walk over and ask who's waiting, and nobody has to remember to mark the arrival.

Can patients book their next visit at the kiosk?

Yes. At check-out the kiosk shows real openings on their provider's schedule and the patient picks one, so the follow-up is on the books before they reach the parking lot, instead of becoming a phone call that may never happen.

What if a patient can't find their appointment?

There is always a "get help" path to your front desk. The kiosk is a fast lane, not a gate: the lookup is limited to that location's appointments for the day, so anything unusual goes to a person by design.

Is patient data stored on the tablet?

No. The kiosk has no chart access and stores no patient health information on the device. Tablets are paired with a registration code from your settings screen and assigned to a single location, and you can deactivate one remotely if it's misplaced.

What hardware do we need, and is it an extra charge?

A tablet in a stand. One you already own is fine, since the kiosk runs in the browser. The kiosk is included in both plans with no per-device fee.
